Topic: “Advanced Estate & Tax Planning Strategies for the Affluent”
Speaker: Richard Welling, CPA, Managing Partner
Description: For California residents, the income and estate tax landscape has changed dramatically. What worked several years ago may not be relevant today. The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 replaced uncertainty in the transfer tax law with uncertainty in income tax planning. The Act heightened the necessity of incorporating income tax planning into an estate plan and requires estate planners to take a more granular approach, allowing for flexibility to address changes in circumstances in the future. In today’s session, Richard will present a case study of a high-net-worth family to identify specific strategies for optimizing your clients’ tax savings while preserving their legacy.
