ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

Margaret G. Lodise graduated cum laude from Pomona College in 1985.  She received her law degree in 1988 from the University of California at Los Angeles and her LLM in Taxation from Loyola Law School in 2001. Meg is a partner at Sacks, Glazier, Franklin & Lodise LLP specializing in estate, trust and conservatorship litigation.  Meg acts as an expert witness on trust and estate related topics as well as speaking regularly before both bar and community organizations.  Meg is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts & Estates Counsel, Chair of ACTEC’s Amicus Briefs committee and immediate past-Chair of its Fiduciary Litigation Committee.  She is past chair of the State Bar of California=s Trusts & Estates Section Executive Committee and a past chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association=s Trusts & Estates Section.  Meg was selected as a member of the California’s Judicial Council Task Force on Conservatorships in 2006-2007.  Meg is an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School.  Meg is a past President of the Women Lawyers’ Association of Los Angeles and also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of Pomona College.

Gary Burkard, OSJ Branch Manager for Cetera Advisor Networks

Gary Burkard is the OSJ Branch Manager of Cetera Advisor Networks.  Mr. Burkard brings over 30 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry to the Region, 25 of which were in support of Cetera Reps and clients. Prior management roles were in Trading, Operations, Compliance and Customer Service at the corporate level. He holds series 4,7,24,53 and 63 registrations.

  Cory Stigile

CPA and Certified Specialist in Taxation Law at Hochman, Salkin, Rettig, Toscher & Perez

Cory Stigile is a Certified Specialist, Taxation Law, The State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization and CPA licensed in California.  He frequently writes and lectures on topics involving taxation.

Troy Martin is an astute litigator who resolves clients’ complex Trusts, Estates & Probate matters and Business disputes. Applying experience gained from handling a wide range of matters in federal and state courts, mediation and arbitration, Mr. Martin offers clients extensive experience resolving trust and estate disputes and probate litigation. Upon exploring deficiencies in the conservatorship laws in representing Peter Falk’s and  Casey Kasem’s daughters, Mr. Martin drafted and lobbied for legislation to ensure a child’s right to visit with an ailing parent.
