January’s focus group meeting will be a continuation of our general meeting topic, continuing Andy’s discussion about recent developments in estate, gift, and generation skipping tax law and related topics.
Come prepared to discuss questions, issues, and opinions about items addressed during Andy’s presentation. In addition, please read Andy’s article from the most recent issue of California Trusts and Estates Quarterly, which will be posted on the SBEPC website, prior to the focus group meeting.
Michael has practiced law in California since 1981. His undergraduate degree is from UCLA, and he earned his JD from the University of San Diego School of Law. His current practice focuses on business litigation, estate planning and probate/trust litigation. He serves as a volunteer arbitrator of attorney/client fee disputes for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Michael is very involved in his community. He is a Past President of the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Club, where he is currently serving as Youth Services Chair, and is presently serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce. Michael has volunteered his time to form and obtain nonprofit status for Redondo Beach Sister Cities, Bruins of the South Bay, and the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis Foundation. Michael is a native Southern Californian.
